Truth be told, Dodge Viper probably is, I guess, one of most rude between cars, which have been produced last decades. It’s a real mix of classic muscle car from 1960s, supercar, concept car from auto-show and serious doze of testosterone. And talking about concept car – yes. I’m seriously. Just watch, for example Doug DeMuro’s review of early Viper, roadster. That car was not made like even a little practice car, which was owned by Doug as well.
But here we have already a normal car, if it’s possible to say so about car with V10, manual tranny and without any driver’s assistants.
Everybody would confirm that Viper looks original already from factory. And it’s almost impossible to find a straight competitor for this brutal vehicle. Because I guess such car simply doesn’t exists.
Dodge Viper is not most powerful, is not fastest. Some Mercedes E63 AMG would faster and seriously faster. But Viper’s driver would’t care it. Because anyway he will be happy.
I guess now we have to talk a little about this yellow Viper. Black wheels are almost always not best choice, but here they are looking well in a pair with tinted windows, black wing, splitters and stripes from front to back. Blue brake calipers are unusual, but look great as well.
Rude exterior is really good. But we can’t keep silence about exhaust. V8 engines have really cool exhaust sound. But straight 5 and V10 have an interesting and authentic sound as well. And 5 or 10 cylinders never was a popular solution. Audi, Lamborghini, Volvo and Fords with Volvo’s engines, diesel Mercedeses, BMW M5 E60 and Viper, that’s all I can remember right now.
Some qualitative exhaust system can make V10 sound a little better and a little louder. Just for driver’s pleasure.
