Usually I’m trying from beginning to tell something interesting about car from article. But, let’s be honest, all we know what is Toyota Camry in a real life. Even if an actual generation has a little aggressive design, it’s still fer from the point when Toyota Camry would be interesting for car enthusiasts and tuning society. But Danny Hamlin has tried to show you what could happen with Camry if owner has a target to make it more interesting.
If you a thinking about real racer, more power and all this serious tuning. I have to break all your expectations. Absolutely stock naturally aspirated 3.5L V6. Badge GR doesn’t give any additional power. Did you really waited to get more power here? :-) Seriously?
All additional power could be (sometimes) due to cold air intake from TRD, but no more. In meaning of engineering it’s pure stock, but with stripes on the doors and hood. And with larger red wheels.
As for wheels. They are wide. Seriously wider than stock and have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. So they have installed on this Camry XV70 widebody kit to cover wide wheels. So yes, large and wide wheels with excellent tires, suspension from Tein – all this is a really all tuning you getting on this Toyota Camry. But, let’s be honest, all this doesn’t add more power, but helps to use existing power.
Interior was not left in stock as well. There are a lot of red accents from leather. Front seats from Recaro, racing belts, rear seats were removed. Nothing serious, but looks a little better than stock.
By the way, dark tint on white car with black stripes and roof, red wheels – in sum looks interesting. It’s still far from real driver’s car. Even stock Honda Accord 3.5 can present not worse feelings. But other Camry’s owners would try to repeat these mods, at list exterior.
